Welcome to Grace Kids! Here at Penn Valley Church, we seeks to partner with and equip parents to evangelize, establish and equip the next generation to be loyal followers of Jesus Christ.
Grace Kids is a place where kids will grow in the grace & knowledge of our Savior. They will DISCOVER who God is & His love for them. They will be DISCIPLED in how God has called us to live. And they will learn to DELIVER God’s Good News wherever they go. We want to partner with YOU, as we help our children to connect their hearts, minds and hands to their faith in Jesus Christ.
Below are ways we can come along side you as we reach the next generation...
Nursery
Our Nursery Ministry is available for newborns through 2 year olds.
While you are in the worship service or Family Night class, you can be sure that your child is experiencing a safe and loving environment. Our volunteers truly have a heart to serve the parents and love on their children while they worship and attend classes. Parents will check-in their child before leaving them in the care of the nursery worker. You will also
recieve a pager in case you need to be contacted during the worship service/class.
Club 3:18
Every Sunday morning children age 3 years old thru 6th grade begin in the worship service with their parents and are dismissed halfway through the service to Club 3:18! Here,
they'll experience a fun, age appropriate time of worship, Bible teaching and activities.
Club 3:18 is a safe, fun place for children to "grow in the grace and knowledge of our
Lord Jesus Christ." (2 Peter 3:18)
During Club 3:18 our volunteer teachers use the Gospel Project Curriculum. We journey through the entire Bible over the course of three years and continue this cycle as your child continues to grow. Keep an eye out for the parent resources your child will come home with. We encourage you to grow with them too!
We have 4 classes, Sprouts for our Pre-K (3-5 year olds) Saplings for our young elementary kids (K-1st grade) Roots for our older elementary kids (2nd-3rd grade) and N.U.T.S. (Never Under Estimate The Scriptures for 4th-6th grade).
Youth Ministry
Our Youth Ministry is for pre-teens and teens from 7th grade through 12th grade. Youth-aged students are asked to attend church on Sundays and remain in the service for the preaching of God's Word. Our Youth Group meets on Wednesday evenings during the school year, and we also schedule multiple activities throughout the year. Members of Youth Group will have opportunities to participate in ministry, outreach, conferences, and retreats, but our priority is discipling students in their relationship with Jesus Christ so that they will leave high school with an unshakeable foundation of faith. Youth Group students lead our PowerUp time on Family Nights, and they host periodic TACOS Tuesday prayer nights. Find out more about Youth Group events HERE.
Family Night/PowerUp
During the school year, we meet the first Wednesday of every month from 6:00PM-8:30PM for PowerUP at Family Night. The evening begins with an optional, free meal from 6:00-6:45PM. Kids can look forward to high-energy games, activities, worship and huddle time! Teens who are in 7th-12th grade are welcome to join as well and will be considered huddle leaders! There is something for everyone from newborn on up!
Safety
The safety of your child is of utmost importance to us. We view it as a privlege and honor to care for your child while we teach them about Jesus!
We have a child check-in system to ensure children are checked-in prior to class, and picked up by their parent/guardian at the end of every class. If you're visiting for the first time, please stop by the Check-in Cart to fill out important
information and allow us to walk you through our check-in procedures.
All of our staff and volunteers have current and up-to-date background checks and child protection clearances as required by the state of Pennsylvania. Our safety team is CPR certified and easily accessible by our volunteers.
